Amalgamation of 11 BC Healthcare Colleges into 2 New Entities
The Project
- In just 5 intense months, we helped establish the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) and the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC), part of a government-mandated initiative to modernize the province’s professional regulatory framework. This ambitious project required creating 4 interim websites ahead of the launch of the final 2 main sites.
At the outset, these new colleges had no leadership, systems, or documentation. We played a key role in user experience mapping and creating content frameworks, which helped guide communications consultants and the colleges in developing site content. Our team also provided instructions on gathering all necessary content within an extremely tight 3-week timeline.
Our developer handled crucial integrations with complaints and profession lookup databases, while also navigating domain handovers from the 11 amalgamated professions. Ensuring accessibility, our developer took the lead in implementing WCAG compliance standards.
Our designer managed the massive task of loading hundreds of pages of content and attachments for both sites in less than 3 weeks, followed by another 2 weeks of revisions. The complexity varied across professions, requiring flexibility within our content framework.
These websites, launched on June 28, are just the starting point for ongoing changes as applicant and registrant processes are developed.
